The proposed amendments, which are consistent with the provisions of The Rhode Island Development Review Actof
1992 (Chapter 23 Title 45, as amended) and the Rhode Island Zoning
Enabling Act of 1991 (Chapter 24, Title 45, as amended) include the
following, revisions to the construction requirements of paper roads;
revisions to public notice requirements for major land developments;
revisions to requirements for installation of street lights, revisions
to the requisite checklists and revision to the drainage
design and construction standards to incorporate low impact development
design and stormwater management.
The proposed amendments are available for review at the Department of Community Development,Town
Hall, 10 Court Street, Bristol, RI Monday –Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
, at the Rogers Free Library, 525 Hope Street, Bristol during normal
business hours and on the Town of Bristol website.
further given that the Regulations may be further altered or amended
prior to the close of the Public hearing thereon without further
advertising; as a result of further study or because of the views
expressed at the Public Hearing.Any alterations or amendments must be presented for comment in the course of the hearing.
