All new detectives complete a course in Scientific Evidence I & II presented at the University of Rhode Island with the Rhode Island State Crime Lab. The Detective Division is responsible for providing the follow-up investigation required to solve reported offenses and for developing the intelligence necessary to pro-actively prevent criminal activity.
