Registration: Registration for the 2011 Summer Fun Program begins on Monday, April 20th from 9AM – 3PM. In order to provide a quality program, we strongly encourage submitting your Registration Form. Late Registration requires a 48-HOUR WAITING PERIOD. CHILD MUST BE AGE 6 BY START OF CAMP TO ENROLL IN CAMP.
You must provide a copy of the child's birth certificate and 2 forms of proof of residency i.e. two (2) current utility bills with your name and address and a matching drivers' license), to the Recreation Department office.
Camp Hours: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, beginning Wednesday, June 22 and ending on Friday, August 5, 2011.
There is NO camp on Rain Days.
The highlight of the summer recreation program is the Summer Fun Program. This is a seven-week program for Bristol children between the ages of 6 and 14. The program provides a wide variety of activities as well as many special day trips. Transportation is provided from the Town Common, Vet's Park, Coelho Park, Cedarcrest Park, and Sowams Parks, to the Town Beach. Each child is placed into age appropriate groups and supervised daily by a trained staff member.
We also have specialty staff, for tennis, and gymnastics.
Registration is $100 per child and includes a Summer Fun T-shirt. There is a family discount of $50 for every child after the first. There may be an additional charge for special field trips. In addition to a $1 lunch program, children have access to a concession stand for snacks.
In addition to the Summer Fun Day Camp, we offer an evening Youth Basketball program at the Town Common. For more information call the Recreation Department.
