The Tax Assessor is responsible for establishing real estate and motor vehicle values.

All properties are valued as of December 31 of each year, except for new construction. New construction is reassessed when a certificate of occupancy is issued.

Real Estate tax and Auto Excise tax bills are mailed on July 15 of each year.

For non-residential construction, Bristol offers an attractive incentive package of tax abatements: 100% first year, 80% second year of the value of the improvements.
