FREE Shredding Event

In Partnership with the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation, the Shredding event is part of the Town of Bristol's efforts to guard against identity theft by destroying old documents that may contain Social Security Numbers, bank account information, etc. Identity theft accounts for millions of dollars in losses to individuals each year. This event is open to Bristol residents and is free of charge.

Individuals may bring up to six boxes/bags of paper to shred. No household chemicals, and no commercial businesses.

Documents will be shredded on site by Shred It. This event is sponsored in-part by the RIRRC and is in partnership with the Town of Bristol Department of Public Works and will occur on Saturday, October 14th, 2017 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm at The Department of Public Works located at 111 Mt. Hope Avenue.
