Lead Certification

Through the State of Rhode Island, the Town of Bristol receives US HUD funding to support our home repair program.  As a result, there are specific lead safe standards that must be adhered to when federal funds are used.  To be included on the Town of Bristol's CDBG Home Repair Contractor List, you should be a lead certified contractor.  

It's easy to become certified!  You are required to take one 8-hour course through an approved program to receive your initial certification, and then re-certify in a shorter course every five years.  The initial cost will depend upon the provider, but range between $100 and $200.  Below are resources nearby that offer these and other training opportunities:
